1. Compression Technology

Placing compression on the arm and leg muscles while exercising at a low intensity has been scientifically shown to mimic the physiological effect of high intensity exercise.

Vasper compression cuffs worn on your legs &  arms compress your muscles to quickly build up lactic acid, this recreates the physiology of an intense workout.

Compression builds metabolite concentration quickly & activates fast twitch muscle fibbers which triggers a systemic recovery response, including the natural release of anabolic hormones such as testosterone.

3. Customized Workouts

Each Vasper workout is a 21 minute interval training protocol, delivered through a tablet that is fully integrated with the recumbent bicycle. Interval training involves a warmup period followed by a succession of sprint and rest intervals.  Interval training has been scientifically proven to increase the efficiency & effectiveness of exercise sessions.

The entire interval training protocol is completely customizable; you can adjust duration, intensity, resistance, & speed to optimize your results. Additionally, the cuff pressure and cooling can be adjusted based on ability, comfort level, & performance. 

2. Dynamic Cooling

When your body temperature increases, blood vessels near the surface of the skin dilate, increasing blood flow to the skin, leaving less blood and oxygen for the muscles. When muscles lack sufficient blood to remove lactic acid, your body hits a wall and fatigues.

Vasper’s cooling technology allows you to remain cool during exercise.  This allows blood oxygen levels to remain high throughout the body which makes exercising much more efficient and pleasant. As a bonus, sweating is also dramatically reduced or in some cases eliminated from the exercise session. Cooling your body during your workout mitigates physical stress & reduces your existing pain and inflammation.

4. Low Impact

Vasper uses the NuStep T5XR Recumbent Cross Trainer.  The NuStep T5XR provides a low impact, inclusive, total-body cardiovascular and strengthening workout with a remarkable combination of motivating features and accessibility through its step-through design & resistance levels.

Impact of Vasper on Testosterone

Testosterone is an important hormone that helps both men & women regulate muscle growth, bone density, fat metabolism, and mood.  

Vasper Testosterone Trial Data

Vasper was used in a trial with five professional baseball players. They used the Vasper for only 8 sessions over a two-week period. In this trial, 4 of the 5 participants saw an increase in free testosterone levels, with the average increase being 132% across all participants.

Impact of Vasper on Performance

Vasper was used by the 131st ParaRescue Squadron. ParaRescuemen are elite military operators, who specialize in medical rescue in war zones and remote areas.

The results of the six-week trial showed a significant improvement on military performance tests, such as pull-ups (2.1% increase), run time to exhaustion (17.3% improvement), and heart rate recovery (32.3% improvement).
